Hi, I'm Advait. I'm working on Companion to explore hardware, software, and new kinds of interfaces that make AI feel personal. Before that, I memorized my dad's credit card to start a reselling business in high school, built an AI tutor with 2M+ users, worked on wearables at MIT Media Lab, and did YC with Friday, an AI email assistant startup. I grew up in India, Japan, and the United States, and have lived in over 15 homes. Without much stability, I spent most of my time chasing my curiosity. I borrowed books from neighbors, learned abacus, earned a black belt in Taekwondo, practiced calligraphy, made art, taught myself piano, and played competitive chess. I call myself a disciple of experience because I learn by doing things, being wrong, and trying again. For a year, I asked for things I expected people to say no to, and ended up modeling in a magazine, giving a commencement speech to 10,000 people, spending a month at Stanford attending lectures, and getting Sam Altman to sign my O1 visa. Some things I find fascinating are how the mind works, where the universe came from, and what our purpose is in this world. I'm in San Francisco and love meeting new people, so feel free to reach out.
